eagle cheat sheet
Here are the settings that I normally use in eagle. I will update this document on-the-fly.
- Routing settings:
- Trace 8 mils (6 mils - advanced)
- Hole 12 mils (10 drill 18 dia - advanced)
- Set grid to 1 mils and alt grid to 0.5 mils for routing
- Set grid to 10 mils and alt grid to 5 mils for changing board outline
- Ripup

to clear Ratsnestripup ;
to clear all routing

Zoom unrouted. File -> Run ULP -> zoom-unrouted.ulp

Export library -> Run ULP -> export-lbr.ulp

Centroids file -> Run ULP -> mountsmd.ulp

BOM file -> Run ULP -> bom.ulp
- Move a single layer
- ‘display none <100>’ [100 is the layer number]
- select the layer to move
- ‘display last’ to show the other layers
- then move that layer

Copper pour - take a look at this tutorial from sparkfun
- Import bitmap file -> Run ULP -> import-bmp.ulp
- Pixels get converted to mils.
- Text
- If the board size is 0.5 inch x 1.0 inch - use, text size - 24, text weight - 18%, vector
- Using Normalize Text ULP. File -> Run ULP -> normalize-text.ulp (text size - 30, text thickness - 3 mils)
